In March 2017 CEW purchased the assets of Skyway Machine Inc., a company with a very rich history as a composite wheel manufacturer. In 1977 Skyway produced the first composite BMX wheel which was very popular in the 80’s with the surge in BMX racing and the freestyle movement. In addition to wheels, Skyway has produced its own frames, forks, brake pads, handle bars, seats, and more throughout the years.
Skyway’s TuffWheels® got their start in the bicycle industry, but are used across many industries and many applications including:
